Five Star Swim School was established by co-owners Darius and Boris. Coming from backgrounds of over 20 years of experience with aquatics, health, and wellness, they had both gotten into teaching swim lessons. They met in 2005 as they were mutually working at a local New Jersey swim facility. It was there that they realized their love for swimming and saw the joy it brought to families. They had a passion for excellence and decided to put their minds together to build their own swim school. After spending a great deal of time planning, they developed their curriculum and business model. Their idea became Five Star! The first location was opened in October 2010 in Eatontown, NJ. Since that time the business has expanded and grown. Locations opened in 2014 (Edison, NJ), 2016 (Lehigh Valley, PA), 2018 (Princeton, NJ), 2020 (East Hanover, NJ), and 2021 (Galloway, NJ). The company is planning to continue growing in NJ and other states in the near future.
The owners understand the value of family. They both have their young children enrolled in swim lessons at Five Star. This allows them to see the business from the perspective of a parent. As fathers, they understand how important safety is and the many benefits you can get from aquatic activities.
They are grateful for their dedicated staff who have allowed them to focus on improving and expanding the business. Thanks to them, they are able to enjoy this entrepreneurial journey. They strive to be the most innovative swim school and be able to help families and their children achieve aquatic goals efficiently and effectively.
